So, what is de petit-lait?
Petit-lait, also known as whey in English, is a liquid byproduct of cheese-making that contains water, lactose, and minerals. It has a slightly tart taste and a thin consistency, making it a versatile ingredient in cooking and baking. High in protein and low in fat, petit-lait is often used as a dietary supplement or protein source for athletes and bodybuilders. In the food industry, it can be found in products such as infant formula, protein bars, and sports drinks. Its unique properties make it an ideal ingredient for adding flavor and nutrition to many dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
