So, what is enzime?
Enzymes are biological molecules that act as catalysts in various chemical reactions. In the food industry, enzymes are often used as ingredients to help break down complex molecules and facilitate the production of certain food products. They are commonly found in fruits, vegetables, and other natural sources, but can also be produced synthetically through fermentation or genetic modification. Enzymes are highly specific in their function, meaning they only react with certain substrates to produce specific products. Some common food products that use enzymes include cheese, bread, and beer. Enzymes can be used to enhance flavors, improve texture, and increase nutritional value in food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
