So, what is et céleri?
Et céleri, also known as celery root or celeriac, is a versatile and flavorful ingredient used in many culinary traditions. It has a rough, knobby exterior that hides a creamy white flesh with a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. Despite its name, et céleri is not actually the root of the celery plant, but a variety of celery cultivated specifically for its root. It can be eaten raw or cooked and is often used in soups, stews, purees, and gratins. Its unique texture and taste make it a popular ingredient in vegetarian and vegan cuisine as well.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
