So, what is farine de ble maltée?
Farine de blé maltée, or malted wheat flour, is a type of flour made from wheat that has been allowed to germinate, or sprout, before being dried and ground. The germination process activates enzymes in the wheat that convert starches into sugars, resulting in a sweeter, more flavorful flour. This type of flour is commonly used in baking to add richness and depth of flavor to bread, pastries, and other baked goods. It can also be used as a thickener in sauces and gravies. Farine de blé maltée is a versatile ingredient that adds a unique twist to traditional recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
