So, what is filmjölkskultur?
Filmjölkskultur is a traditional Swedish food ingredient that is also known as "fil culture". It is a live culture of bacteria that is used to ferment milk into a sour, tangy dairy product called "filmjölk". This culture is made up of Lactococcus lactis, Lactococcus cremoris, and Leuconostoc mesenteroides, which work together to create the distinct flavor and texture of filmjölk. Filmjölkskultur can be used to make homemade filmjölk, as well as other fermented dairy products such as kefir and sour cream. It is a versatile and nutritious ingredient that adds a unique flavor and texture to many dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
