So, what is fläderbär?
Fläderbär, also known as elderberries in English, are small dark purple berries that grow on the elder tree. They have a sweet and tart taste that pairs well with both sweet and savory dishes. Elderberries are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, making them a great addition to any diet. They are commonly used in jams, pies, and syrups, but can also be dried and used in teas or made into a delicious wine. Known for their immune-boosting properties, fläderbär have been used for centuries in traditional medicine to help treat cold and flu symptoms.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
