So, what is fosfato potâsico?
Fosfato potássico, also known as potassium phosphate, is a food ingredient commonly used as an acidity regulator, emulsifier, and stabilizer in various processed foods. It is a white, odorless powder that is highly soluble in water and has a neutral to alkaline pH. Fosfato potássico is derived from phosphoric acid and potassium hydroxide, and is considered safe for consumption in moderate amounts by regulatory agencies. It is often used in dairy products, beverages, and baked goods to improve texture and increase shelf life. Additionally, it is sometimes used in pharmaceuticals and as a fertilizer.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
