So, what is pimienta rosa?
Pink peppercorns, or "pimienta rosa" in Spanish, are a versatile spice that add a unique pop of color and flavor to any dish. Despite their name, these small berries are not actually a true peppercorn, but are instead related to the cashew family. They have a delicate, sweet and slightly fruity taste with a mild peppery kick, and are often used in seasoning blends, marinades, dressings, and sauces. With their striking pink hue and distinct flavor, pimienta rosa can add a sophisticated touch to everything from roasted meats to cocktails.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
