So, what is free-range egg?
A free-range egg is an egg laid by a chicken that is allowed to roam outdoors, as opposed to being confined to a cage or barn. These chickens have access to natural sunlight, fresh air, and open pasture, which allows them to engage in normal behaviors like dust bathing and foraging for food. As a result, free-range eggs are often considered more ethical and sustainable than those produced by caged hens. They also tend to have a richer, more vibrant yolk color and a creamier texture, making them a popular choice among chefs and home cooks alike.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
