So, what is fruktoz?
Fructose is a naturally occurring simple sugar found in many fruits, vegetables, and sweeteners. It's commonly used as an alternative sweetener to table sugar because it's sweeter and can be used in smaller quantities. Fructose is metabolized differently than glucose, the primary source of energy for the body, and is primarily processed by the liver. In large quantities, fructose consumption has been linked to health issues such as weight gain, insulin resistance, and high blood pressure. However, when consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet, fructose can be a healthy and delicious addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
