So, what is gingebre?
Gingebre, also known as ginger, is a flavorful and aromatic root that has been used in cooking and medicine for centuries. This knobby rhizome has a spicy, slightly sweet taste and is commonly used to add depth and warmth to dishes. It contains compounds like gingerol and shogaol which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Gingebre is also believed to aid digestion, reduce nausea, and boost the immune system. Whether grated fresh or dried and powdered, this versatile ingredient can be found in everything from stir-fries and curries to baked goods and teas.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
