So, what is graines de celeri?
"Graines de celeri" is the French term for celery seeds, which are small, brown seeds that come from the celery plant. Despite their small size, these seeds pack a big flavor punch, with a strong, slightly bitter taste that is reminiscent of celery stalks. They are commonly used in pickling, as well as in spice blends for dishes such as coleslaw, potato salad, and soups. In addition to their culinary uses, celery seeds have also been traditionally used in herbal medicine for their diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
