So, what is graisses de coco?
Graisses de coco, or coconut fat, is a versatile and increasingly popular food ingredient used in cooking, baking, and even skincare. Extracted from the flesh of mature coconuts, this natural fat is high in medium-chain triglycerides, which are believed to offer numerous health benefits, such as improving digestion and boosting metabolism. Graisses de coco has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and a creamy texture that makes it an excellent substitute for butter, oil, or cream in many recipes. It's also a popular ingredient in vegan and gluten-free cooking, as it contains no animal products or allergens.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
