So, what is chou de bruxelles?
Chou de Bruxelles, also known as Brussels sprouts, are a type of miniature cabbage that are typically 1-2 inches in diameter. These nutrient-packed vegetables are members of the Brassicaceae family and are packed with vitamins C and K, as well as fiber and antioxidants. With a mild, slightly sweet flavor, they can be eaten raw or cooked and are often roasted or sautéed with garlic or bacon for added flavor. Brussels sprouts are a popular ingredient in many cuisines around the world and are often enjoyed as a side dish or incorporated into salads, stews, and casseroles.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
