So, what is granos de mostaza?
Granos de mostaza is the Spanish term for mustard seeds, which are small, round seeds harvested from the mustard plant. These tiny seeds have a pungent, slightly bitter taste and are commonly used as a spice in cooking and as a key ingredient in condiments like mustard and pickles. Mustard seeds come in different varieties, including black, brown, and yellow, with each type having a distinct flavor and texture. Apart from their culinary uses, mustard seeds are also believed to have health benefits, such as improving digestion and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
