So, what is haricot plat?
Haricot plat, also known as "flat bean" or "romano bean," is a type of green bean with a flattened shape and a meaty texture. Unlike traditional green beans, haricot plat is wider and has a smooth, velvety texture. Its flavor is slightly sweeter than regular green beans and has a subtle earthy taste. This ingredient is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as fiber and minerals like iron and calcium. Haricot plat is commonly used in Mediterranean and Italian cuisine, particularly in salads, stews, and sautés.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
