So, what is humleolja?
Humleolja, also known as hop oil, is a flavorful and aromatic oil derived from the hop plant. It is commonly used in the brewing industry to add bitterness, aroma, and flavor to beer. Humleolja is extracted from the hop cones, which are first dried and then processed using steam distillation or carbon dioxide extraction. The resulting oil is rich in hop compounds such as alpha acids, beta acids, and essential oils, which give it a complex and intense flavor profile. Humleolja is also used in the production of essential oils and as a natural flavoring agent in food and beverages.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
