So, what is jarabe de fructosa?

Jarabe de fructosa is a sweetener derived from corn syrup, consisting of a mixture of glucose and fructose. Unlike regular table sugar, which contains 50% glucose and 50% fructose, jarabe de fructosa has a higher fructose content, typically ranging from 42% to 90%. It is commonly used as a substitute for sugar in processed foods and beverages, as it is cheaper, easier to handle, and more soluble. However, excessive consumption of fructose has been linked to health problems such as obesity, insulin resistance, and liver disease, so it should be consumed in moderation.
