So, what is kaliumvätekarbonat?
Kaliumvätekarbonat, also known as potassium hydrogen carbonate, is a white, odorless powder commonly used as a leavening agent in baking. It is a versatile ingredient that can be used to help doughs and batters rise, producing a light and fluffy texture in baked goods. Kaliumvätekarbonat is also used in the production of effervescent salts and fire extinguishers. In addition to its culinary and industrial applications, it has also been used in medicine as an antacid to neutralize excess stomach acid. Despite its many uses, kaliumvätekarbonat should be handled with care as it can cause skin and eye irritation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
