So, what is kwark?
Kwark, also known as quark or curd cheese, is a soft and creamy dairy product that originated in Germany. It is commonly used in European cuisine for both sweet and savory dishes, thanks to its mild flavor and versatile texture. Kwark is made by curdling milk with lactic acid bacteria, and then straining the resulting curds to remove excess liquid. The end result is a smooth and tangy cheese that can be enjoyed on its own or used as a base for dips, spreads, desserts, and more. With its high protein content and low fat levels, kwark is a nutritious ingredient that can add depth and richness to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
