So, what is la cellulose microcristalline?
Microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) is a white, odorless and tasteless powder that is commonly used as a food ingredient. It is derived from natural cellulose sources such as wood pulp or cotton, and is processed to produce small particles with a crystalline structure. MCC is a versatile additive that is often used as a bulking agent, emulsifier, stabilizer and thickener in a variety of foods, including baked goods, dairy products, and beverages. It has a low calorie content and is commonly used in low-fat or reduced-calorie foods to improve texture and mouthfeel. Additionally, MCC is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as an excipient in tablet and capsule formulations.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
