So, what is lycopeen?
Lycopene is a naturally occurring bright red pigment found in many fruits and vegetables, particularly in tomatoes. It is known for its powerful antioxidant properties, which help to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Lycopene has been linked to several health benefits, including a reduced risk of heart disease, certain types of cancer, and age-related macular degeneration. In addition to its health benefits, lycopene is also used as a natural food coloring agent, enhancing the visual appeal of processed foods such as ketchup, tomato sauce, and canned tomatoes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
