So, what is lactique et?
"Lactique et" is a French term that refers to lactic acid, a naturally occurring organic acid found in many fermented foods. Lactic acid is produced by lactic acid bacteria, which convert carbohydrates into lactic acid through a process called lacto-fermentation. Lactique et is commonly used as an ingredient in the food industry as a flavor enhancer, preservative, and pH regulator. It has a slightly sour taste and can be found in various foods such as yogurt, cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, and sourdough bread. In addition to its culinary uses, lactic acid has also been used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries for its exfoliating and skin-lightening properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
