So, what is lactique?
"Lactique" is a term used to describe food ingredients that are derived from or produced by lactic acid bacteria. These bacteria are commonly found in dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, and kefir, as well as in fermented foods like sauerkraut and kimchi. Lactique ingredients can enhance the flavor and texture of foods, and also contribute to their preservation and shelf life. Some common lactique ingredients include lactic acid, lactobacillus, and lactose. Whether you're looking to add a tangy flavor to your dish or increase its nutritional value, lactique ingredients are a versatile and valuable addition to any kitchen.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
