So, what is lecitina di soia?
Lecitina di soia, or soy lecithin, is a natural emulsifier commonly used in food production. It is extracted from soybeans and contains phospholipids that help blend and stabilize ingredients that would otherwise separate. Soy lecithin is versatile and can be found in a variety of products such as chocolate, baked goods, and margarine. Despite being derived from soy, it does not typically contain allergenic proteins making it safe for most people to consume. Additionally, lecitina di soia has potential health benefits, including improving brain function and reducing cholesterol levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
