So, what is light cream?

Light cream is a dairy product that has a milk fat content between 18 and 30 percent. With a smooth, velvety texture, it's commonly used in coffee, tea, soups, sauces, and baked goods to add richness and creaminess without overwhelming the dish. Light cream can also be whipped and used as a topping for pies, cakes or fruits. It's an excellent source of calcium, vitamin D, and other nutrients, making it a nutritious addition to recipes. Whether indulging in a decadent dessert or adding depth to a savory soup, light cream is sure to elevate any dish with its delicate flavor and rich texture.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like light cream?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
