So, what is liver?
Liver, a nutrient-rich organ meat, is a common ingredient in many traditional dishes around the world. Its distinctive flavor can be earthy and slightly metallic, yet it is also tender and moist when cooked correctly. Liver is an excellent source of protein, iron, and vitamins A and B12, making it a great addition to a balanced diet. However, due to its high vitamin A content, consuming large amounts of liver should be done in moderation. When preparing liver, it's important to soak it in milk or other acidic liquids to remove any bitterness before cooking.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
