So, what is maismehl?
Maismehl is a finely ground flour made from dried maize kernels. It is a staple ingredient in many cuisines around the world, including Latin American, African, and Southern US. Maismehl has a distinctive sweet and nutty flavor and can be used to make a variety of dishes, from traditional cornbread and tortillas to tamales and polenta. It is a good source of fiber and essential nutrients, such as magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B and E. Maismehl is also naturally gluten-free, making it an excellent choice for those with gluten intolerance or celiac disease.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
