So, what is manjerona?
Manjerona, also known as marjoram, is a fragrant herb that is commonly used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. It is a member of the mint family and has a subtle, sweet and slightly bitter flavor with a delicate aroma that is often compared to oregano. The leaves of the manjerona plant are small and oval-shaped with a grey-green color, and can be used fresh or dried in a variety of dishes such as stews, soups, sauces, and marinades. Manjerona is also known for its medicinal properties, and has been used for centuries to treat digestive issues, respiratory problems, and muscle pain.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
