So, what is medium-chain triglyceride oil?
Medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil is a type of dietary fat derived from coconut oil or palm kernel oil. It contains medium-chain fatty acids, which are easier to digest and metabolize than long-chain fatty acids found in most other oils. MCT oil is often used as a source of energy for athletes and bodybuilders, as well as a dietary supplement for weight loss and cognitive function. It has a neutral taste and can be added to drinks, smoothies, or salad dressings. MCT oil has also been shown to have potential therapeutic benefits for certain health conditions such as epilepsy, Alzheimer's disease, and fatty liver disease.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
