So, what is mispeln?

Mispeln, also known as loquats or Japanese plums, are a small, tangy fruit with a slightly fuzzy exterior that varies in color from yellow to orange. They are low in calories but high in fiber, vitamins A and C, potassium, and manganese, making them a nutritious addition to any diet. Mispeln can be eaten fresh, baked into tarts or pies, or used to make jams and jellies. Their unique flavor, which is sweet with a hint of tartness, sets them apart from other fruits and adds complexity to both sweet and savory dishes.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like mispeln?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
