So, what is monoestearina?
Monoestearina is a food ingredient derived from glycerol and stearic acid, commonly used as an emulsifier and stabilizer in various food products. It is a type of monoglyceride, which means it has one fatty acid attached to a glycerol molecule. Monoestearina helps prevent ingredients from separating and maintains the desired texture and consistency of foods. It is often found in baked goods, ice cream, margarine, and chocolate, and is considered safe for consumption by regulatory agencies. Monoestearina also has non-food applications, such as in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
