So, what is natural sugar?

Natural sugar, also known as unrefined sugar, is a type of sweetener that has undergone minimal processing and is derived from natural sources such as fruits, honey or maple syrup. Unlike refined sugars, which are stripped of their nutrients during processing, natural sugars retain some of the vitamins and minerals found in the source plant. This makes natural sugar a healthier option to satisfy your sweet cravings. While it's still a form of sugar and should be consumed in moderation, natural sugar is a great alternative to refined sugars in baking and cooking, providing a unique flavor profile to any dish.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like natural sugar?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
