So, what is niacine?
Niacin, also known as vitamin B3, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in maintaining good health. It is necessary for the proper functioning of the nervous system, skin, digestive system, and metabolism. Niacin can be found in a variety of foods, including meat, fish, poultry, and grains. It is also commonly added to fortified foods and dietary supplements. Niacin deficiency can cause a range of health problems, including fatigue, depression, and a condition called pellagra. However, excessive intake of niacin can lead to adverse effects, such as flushing and liver damage.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
