So, what is nicotinic?
Nicotinic acid, also known as niacin or vitamin B3, is an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in maintaining healthy skin, nerves, and digestion. It is a water-soluble vitamin that can be found in many food sources, including meat, fish, and grains. Nicotinic acid helps the body convert food into energy and is important for DNA repair and cell communication. It may also help lower cholesterol levels and improve blood circulation. While severe deficiency of nicotinic acid can lead to a condition called pellagra, most people can obtain sufficient amounts of this nutrient through a balanced diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
