So, what is noix?
Noix is a French term that refers to nuts in general, but more specifically, it usually means walnuts. Walnuts are a type of tree nut that are known for their hard, round shells and brain-like shape. They have a distinct earthy and slightly bitter taste that pairs well with both sweet and savory dishes. Walnuts are a good source of healthy fats, protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They are often used in baking and cooking, as well as eaten raw as a snack. Walnuts can also be pressed to produce a flavorful and nutritious oil that is used in salads, dressings, and sauces.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
