So, what is noyaux d'abricot?
Noyaux d'abricot, also known as apricot kernels, are the small seeds found within the pit of apricots. They have a distinct nutty flavor and are often used in baking and cooking, as well as in alternative medicine. These kernels are a rich source of nutrients, including protein, healthy fats, and vitamins B and E. They also contain amygdalin, which some claim has cancer-fighting properties. However, it's important to note that consuming too many noyaux d'abricot can be harmful as they contain a small amount of cyanide. As with any food, moderation is key.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
