So, what is nucleic?
Nucleic acids are biomolecules that play a vital role in the genetic makeup of all living organisms. These complex molecules contain the genetic information required for the synthesis of proteins and other essential cellular functions. In food, nucleic acids are found primarily in high-protein foods like meat, fish, and beans. They are often added to processed foods as a flavor enhancer and to improve texture. Nucleic acids are also believed to have numerous health benefits, including supporting healthy immune function and aiding in the repair and regeneration of cells.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
