So, what is palmefett?
Palmefett, also known as palm oil, is a versatile and widely used ingredient in the food industry. It is derived from the fruit of the oil palm tree and has a unique composition that makes it an ideal ingredient for various applications. Palmefett is rich in saturated fats and vitamin E, which makes it stable at high temperatures and gives it a long shelf life. It is commonly used in baked goods, margarine, and snack foods. However, its production has been associated with deforestation and habitat destruction, leading to concerns over sustainability in recent years.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
