So, what is палмова?
"Палмова" is a Ukrainian term that refers to palm oil, a popular ingredient in the food industry. This versatile oil is derived from the fruit of oil palm trees and is widely used for its smooth texture, neutral flavor, and long shelf life. It is commonly found in processed foods such as baked goods, margarine, and snacks, as well as in cosmetics and household products. However, the use of palm oil has been a controversial topic due to its environmental impact and potential health risks. As such, it's important to consider the source and sustainability of the palm oil used in food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
