So, what is pasta d'acciughe?
Pasta d'acciughe, also known as anchovy paste, is a savory and pungent ingredient that adds depth of flavor to many dishes. Made from ground salt-cured anchovies, this Italian condiment has a rich umami taste, with a slightly fishy and salty undertone. Its thick, smooth texture makes it easy to blend into sauces, dressings or spreads. It can be used sparingly to enhance the flavors of meats, vegetables or seafood dishes, or as a base for Caesar dressing or tapenade. A little bit goes a long way in adding complexity and deliciousness to your meals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
