So, what is petit oignon?
Petit oignon, or pearl onions, are a small variety of onion that are often used in French cuisine. These tiny onions are about the size of a marble and have a sweet, delicate flavor that is milder than regular onions. They are often used in stews, soups, and casseroles, as well as pickled or roasted as a side dish. Petit oignons are packed with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. Their small size makes them perfect for adding flavor and texture to a wide range of dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
