So, what is phytonadione?
Phytonadione, also known as vitamin K1, is a fat-soluble vitamin found in many green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, and kale. It plays a critical role in blood clotting by activating certain proteins in the body. Phytonadione is often used as a dietary supplement to prevent or treat bleeding disorders, particularly in individuals taking blood-thinning medications. In addition to its essential role in blood clotting, phytonadione also plays a key role in bone health by regulating calcium absorption and utilization. It is commonly used as an ingredient in food and dietary supplements.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
