So, what is piment habanero?
Piment habanero, also known as habanero pepper, is a fiery chili pepper originating from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. With a Scoville heat rating ranging from 100,000 to 350,000, it is one of the hottest peppers in the world. The small, lantern-shaped fruit is typically orange or red when ripe, and has a distinctive fruity flavor with floral notes. It is often used to add a bold kick to salsas, hot sauces, marinades, and other spicy dishes. Piment habanero is also high in vitamins A and C, and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and metabolism-boosting properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
