So, what is piquillo pepper?
Piquillo peppers are a unique variety of sweet, slightly spicy red peppers originating from Northern Spain. With a distinct triangular shape, they are roasted over open flames, peeled by hand, and packed in their own juices to preserve their rich, smoky flavor. Piquillo peppers have a slightly sweet taste with a mild heat level, making them versatile for use in a variety of dishes, from salads to stews. They are commonly used in Spanish cuisine, adding depth of flavor and a touch of color to dishes such as stuffed peppers, paella, and romesco sauce.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
