So, what is podocarpus?
Podocarpus is a type of evergreen tree native to regions such as Asia, Africa, and South America. The tree is highly valued for its decorative qualities, with its glossy, dark green foliage and striking purple or blue berries that are often used in floral arrangements. The plant also has a long history of traditional use in herbal medicine, with various parts of the tree, such as the bark and leaves, being used for their purported health benefits. Additionally, the fruit of some species of Podocarpus is edible and used in traditional cuisine.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
