So, what is provitamina a?
Provitamin A, also known as carotenoids, are a group of organic pigments found in plant-based foods. Once consumed, the body converts provitamin A into active vitamin A, which plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy eyesight, skin, and immune function. The most common provitamin A carotenoids are beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, and beta-cryptoxanthin, which can be found in brightly colored fruits and vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, and mangoes. Including provitamin A-rich foods in your diet is an excellent way to support overall health and wellbeing.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
