So, what is radish?
Radishes are a crisp and crunchy root vegetable that belongs to the Brassicaceae family, along with other members like broccoli and cabbage. These small, round vegetables come in a range of colors, from bright red to pink, white, and black. Radishes have a mildly spicy and peppery flavor that can range from sweet to pungent depending on the variety. They are a low-calorie and nutrient-dense food, packed with vitamin C, folate, and potassium. Radishes are versatile and can be eaten raw, roasted, pickled, or grilled, adding a refreshing crunch and zingy flavor to salads, sandwiches, and vegetable platters.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
