So, what is rape?
Rape, also known as canola, is a versatile oilseed crop that is widely cultivated for its oil-rich seeds. This crop has a bright yellow flower and is a member of the Brassicaceae family. Canola oil is low in saturated fat, high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and is a good source of essential fatty acids. The oil extracted from rape is used in various food applications, including cooking, frying, baking, and salad dressings. Additionally, rape is used in the production of biodiesel due to its high oil content.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
