So, what is releasing agent?
A releasing agent, also known as a mold release agent, is a food ingredient commonly used in the baking industry to prevent food from sticking to molds or pans during the cooking process. It is a crucial component in ensuring the consistency and quality of baked goods such as bread, cakes, and pastries. Releasing agents can come in many forms, including oils, sprays, and powders, and are typically made from natural ingredients such as vegetable oils, lecithin, and waxes. Using a releasing agent helps to ensure that baked goods are easily removed from their molds, resulting in a more appealing appearance and texture.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
